Xicu's beginnings were sweet and introspective enough with his works 'sol' and 'BLAU'. A year later, the artist returned with new music and presented us with a more powerful and darker live performance that made us travel through an imaginary of unbridled love and heartbreak with his EP '22' (Delirics, 2023).
A work with a much more radical sound than his previous works and that had powerful collaborations such as Julieta, Teuma Thug (P.A.W.N Gang) and Galgo Lento.Now, Xicu embarks on a new musical path with 'Sacrificis', a new album that arrives this September and which he will present on January 16 at La Nau in Barcelona.
'Sacrificis' is an experimental pop work where the lyrics play a main role and the music simply accompanies the stories that are told. It is a dense and raw album loaded with varied textures and daring and unconventional sounds. Going through different states of mind and emotions, Xicu explores the concept of “sacrifice”: sacrificing friendships for music, sacrificing oneself for one's family, one's partner, oneself... and invites us, in this way, to discover a universe - apparently dark-, but it hides a lot of light inside.
With references such as Rusowsky, Ralphie Choo or Tristán!, and styles ranging from Pop, Urban or Jersey Club, Xicu makes us travel through endless emotions with his new album 'Sacrificis'!
