Xicu's beginnings were sweet and introspective enough with his works 'sol' and 'BLAU'. A year later, the artist returned with new music and presented us with a more powerful and darker live performance that made us travel through an imaginary world of love and heartbreak without restraint. With styles ranging from trap, pop, hyper pop and synth pop, Xicu presented us just a year ago with his EP '22' (Delirics, 2023). A work with a much more radical sound than his previous works and which featured powerful collaborations such as Julieta, Teuma Thug (P.A.W.N Gang) and Galgo Lento.
Now, Xicu is embarking on a new musical path with 'Sacrificis', a new album that will be released in September and which he will present on January 16 at La Nau in Barcelona. So far, she has already previewed ‘clavat a dins’ and ‘lo nostre’, a second pop-reggaeton song in Catalan that teaches us how to make those complex situations we find in a relationship simple.
With references such as Rusowksy, Ralphie Choo or Tristán!, and styles ranging from Jersey Club, pop, urban and Funk Carioca, Xicu presents us with a third single: ‘Gràcies al sacrifici’ - produced by Souto - a song that talks about appreciating “sacrifice”, since it will always bring a reward. After darkness always comes light and it is a good time to look back and appreciate everything that has been lived and consequently, everything that has been learned.
